OLYMPIC RING ME!TM Six reasons why Olympic Ring Me! is an Olympic landmark for London

1. HYPER VISIBILITY AS LONDON’S TALLEST STRUCTURE!

Olympic Ring Me! is a landmark without a building and can be raised to 300m surpassing all other structures in London. In doing so, Olympic Ring Me! connects to the existing network of landmarks and enhances the existing protected sightlines to St Paul’s. Olympic Ring Me! equates altitude with attitude.
(Perhaps ‘skymark’ is a more appropriate term.)

2. A LANDMARK CAN BE AN INFORMATION GATE!

Olympic Ring Me! is an informational gateway with news flashes from the XXX Olympiad.
Three line SMS text messages containing 12m high characters and understood as GBR wins gold in the 1500m men’s final are legible 8km away from Aldgate in Kensington, Highgate, Dulwich and Stratford.

3. THIS LANDMARK ASKS EVERY LONDONER TO BE AN OLYMPIAN!

Olympic Ring Me! encourages Londoners to find an Olympic performance in their everyday activities. The ‘Olympic citizen’ runs
to catch the bus, aims for selfimprovement whilst balancing work pressures with a social life.

4. PARTICIPATE AT ALDGATE ARENA AND EARN THE RIGHT TO ELEVATE YOURSELF TO CITY PROMINANCE!

Anchoring the landmark is Aldgate Arena, a mini-stadium with a daily roster of Olympic events for public participation. Join an event at the Aldgate Arena (a micro-stadium hosting fencing, gymnastics, table tennis…) and you can elevate yourself above a city of 8 million faces. Like Chaucer’s Astrolabe, we can all reach for the stars!

5. A RESPONSIVE LANDMARK!

Games are about social interactivity and learned fun. Olympic Ring Me! is not a static landmark captured in a single photo but a responsive landmark that can be endlessly reconfigured through existing digital interfaces and telecommunications. As an Olympic sized 60m-diameter game board we can all play (pong for example). Londoners: are you ready? Olympic game on!

6. SPONS-AIRSHIP!

Due to the exceptional visibility and omnipresence within London of the landmark Olympic Ring Me!, additional sponsorship   can be easily forthcoming. The ten current Tier One Olympic partners, for example, are contributing on average £50million  each to the 2012 games budget that exceeds £2billion. The ambition of Olympic Ring Me! is therefore matched by its potential
earnings capacity.
